This month, we are celebrating Gail Gardiner and her dedicated fitness consistency. Gail’s journey started with a simple need for location convenience and a desire to get back into a routine, but it has turned into a story about grit, community, and pleasant surprises.

The Power of the “Non-Negotiable” Session

For Gail, the biggest achievements are not necessarily numbers on a scale. Instead, she feels the most pride when she turns up on the days she really does not feel like going. We have all had those moments where we are exhausted and simply cannot be bothered, but Gail has mastered the art of getting through the door regardless.

This commitment to dedicated fitness consistency is what builds real results over time. While she admits she is still on her journey, she has already noticed a major shift: she is much fitter than she originally thought she was. One of the things that keeps Gail coming back—even on the busy or tired days—is the atmosphere at the gym. She describes AB in three words: Community, Friendly, and No Judgement. “It is really nice being around friendly and supportive people,” Gail says. Whether it is the coaches or the fellow members, having a supportive environment makes it much easier to stay on track. The people and the coaches are the primary reason Gail continues to show up even when she is feeling her most tired.

Finding Joy in the Movement

Gail is a big fan of our cardio and boxing sessions, though she is currently challenging herself by incorporating more strength training into her routine. While she is focused, she does not take herself too seriously.

Gail shared that some of her most unexpected moments come when she thinks she has listened perfectly to the instructions, only to realise halfway through that she has absolutely no idea what she is doing! It is those lighthearted moments that make the hard work worth it.

The Post-Session Glow

No matter how tired she feels walking into the gym, Gail says she always feels great walking out. “I am always so glad I went,” she admits. That feeling of accomplishment and energy is the ultimate reward for her dedicated fitness consistency.
